Ingredients
- 3 sweet corn ears
- ½ tablespoon onion powder
- ½ tablespoon garlic powder
- ½ tablespoon Cayenne powder
- ½ tablespoon paprika
- ½ tablespoon oregano
- ½ tablespoon salt
- ½ tablespoon ground pepper
- Vegetable oil
- Butter as needed
- Thyme as needed
Instructions
- Combine all the spices in a small bowl to create the Cajun seasoning and set it aside.
- Pour oil as necessary in a deep pot so that the corn can fully submerge. Set in on medium heat until it reaches 350ºF to 375ºF.
- Slice every ear of sweet corn into 4 parts.
- Put the corn piece by piece into the frying pot and cook in batches.
- Wait until around 5 minutes until they turn into golden brown color, before taking them off of the pot and drain the excess oil using a kitchen towel over a plate.
- Brush the fried corn with melted butter.
- Transfer the corn into a bowl and sprinkle the Cajun seasoning all over. Make sure each of them is coated evenly with the seasoning by using hands.
