Boneless Skinless Chicken Thigh Instant Pot, How to Cook It Easy Way

Wondering how to make boneless skinless chicken thigh Instant Pot? Well, it is easy! You can make this if you found that the chicken thighs are in discount, and you are preparing the meal for this week—something easy that’s also finger licking!

This recipe will be perfect for 6 servings, and to make it you won’t need to spend a lengthy duration. Just put this and that, and your boneless skinless chicken thigh instant pot will be ready. So, what ingredients you need to make this meal?

Ingredients:

  • 6-8 fresh chicken thighs or frozen chicken thighs, cleaned. The chicken thighs are skinless and boneless. However, you can also do this recipe with chicken thighs, bone in, skin on.
  • Enough water
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled (optional)
  • ½ small onion (optional as well)

Cooking instructions:

  1. On a tray, season your chicken thighs with salt and pepper. No need to measure the salt and pepper. Just do it liberally as much as you want.
  2. Then, pour 1-4 cups water into your Instant Pot insert. If you are using a 6-quart Instant Pot, use at least one cup of water and if you are using 8-quart Instant Pot, grab at least 1.5 cup of water.
  3. Following the previous step, you can add the pre-measured onion and garlic afterwards.
  4. Next, on top of the veggies/water, you can proceed by putting a trivet or a steamer basket. Then, place the seasoned chicken thighs on a single layer. You may have it overlap a bit, but make sure it doesn’t overlap that much.
  5. After that, seal the Instant Pot and also set the valve as ‘sealed’.
  6. Set the cooking time into 10 minutes (boneless, skinless chicken thighs). If you happen to put chicken thighs in different condition (bone in, skin on, or combined) here is the cooking time:
    • Bone in, skinless : 12 minutes
    • Bone in, skin on : 12 minutes
    • Frozen thighs : 14 minutes
  7. Once the timer count starts to count down, let the cooker do its magic for 5 minutes. After that, turn the valve into ‘vent’.
  8. Once the timer is done, remove the lid. After that, also remove the chicken thighs. Place it on a plate.
  9. You may also strain the liquid if you want to use it as stock for further use.

“Just wait and see”, that’s the right thing to describe how to cook chicken thigh Instant Pot. It is as easy as that. So, what are holding you back from cooking boneless skinless chicken thigh Instant Pot?
